Branded is a perennial favorite that thrives in both the TCG and Master Duel. It is exceptionally good in "go-second" and board-breaker formats. It struggles slightly against floodgates or hyper-fast combo decks, but its unparalleled grind game makes it a constant Top 32/Top 8 tournament threat.

In the current meta, Kewl Tune operates as an anti-meta or control-combo rogue contender. Because it runs a massive amount of non-engine cards (like Mulcharmy Fuwalos) alongside its starters, it easily adapts to blind second-turn break strategies or first-turn board setups. It struggles if heavily constrained by floodgates like Dimension Shifter, or against top-tier decks that can play through its disruptions.

Dracotail has carved out a top position in both the TCG and Master Duel formats. It is highly favored in the current meta because it can play through or play under floodgates and hand traps well. Its two strongest variants currently are Pure Dracotail (which plays heavy non-engine cards and recycles hand traps for better disruption) and Branded Dracotail (which utilizes Branded Fusion to set up a larger board of omni-negates and banishes like Mirrorjade and Dragoon).

The Elfnote archetype is a highly capable Synchro climbing deck focused on zone manipulation and the center main monster zone.

Sky Striker has excellent matchups against mid-range and control decks but can struggle against heavy combo and lock decks if you don't open your board breakers. Be wary of Droll & Lock Bird, which completely halts the deck's main search and draw engines.

The deck has a naturally strong matchup against Stun and heavy backrow/Trap strategies. It also ignores the "Maxx C" minigame better than most meta decks because you can special summon low-to-the-ground breakers.

The deck shines as a strong counter to prominent combo and top-tier meta decks. Because it requires minimal Special Summons to access its strongest interruptions, the deck performs well against modern "tax" floodgates and hand traps, including Mulcharmy cards.
